Destination information
During the Belle Époque, at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, Benicàssim became a tourist destination for a select group of families from Castellón and Valencia, giving rise to the so-called “Valencian Biarritz”, a collection of villas of great variety and architectural richness that evoke another era.
The famous Ruta de las Villas (Route of the Villas) is organised into two tours: one according to the artistic style of each villa and the other according to the character of its former inhabitants. The “Infierno” (Hell) area was known for its lively parties, while the “Corte Celestial” (Heavenly Court) stood out for the calm of its streets, separated by the Comín gardens, popularly called “el Limbo” (Limbo).
You can also enjoy Voramar beach or walk along the Paseo Pilar Coloma, where you will find pleasant views and a renovated area with restaurants.
