Alcocéber

Destination information

Alcocéber, or Alcossebre, is a small town on the Costa del Azahar belonging to the municipality of Alcalá de Chivert, located 50 km north of Castellón de la Plana. Its relatively undeveloped environment allows visitors to enjoy unspoilt beaches and the nature of the Sierra de Irta, alongside more than 10 km of coastline and an excellent climate. Its notable monuments include the castle of Xivert, the Ebrí tower, the hermitage of El Calvario, and the Prigó del Rey, all accessible via short hiking trails that offer impressive views.

The coast of Alcocéber is another of its main attractions, with five beaches, almost pristine coves, and the Las Fuentes marina with leisure and hospitality venues. Its proximity to the Columbretes Islands allows for excursions to the archipelago, while the Sierra de Irta, with eleven routes for hiking and cycling, offers spectacular panoramic views from places such as the hermitage of Santa Lucía.
