Traveling with your pet shouldn’t be complicated. It should feel natural. Easy. Enjoyable.

And if there’s a perfect time to do it, it’s now. Spring, and especially April, is one of the best moments for a getaway with your dog. More calm, better weather, and spaces that invite you to enjoy together.

At Hotel Bersoca, we believe one thing: pets are part of the journey.

More space, more freedom

In April, Benicàssim feels different. Fewer people, more calm, and more space to enjoy with your dog. You can walk along the seafront without crowds, explore nearby paths, or simply let your pet wander and enjoy at their own pace.

Summer heat can be difficult when traveling with pets. April, on the other hand, offers a much more comfortable climate. Longer walks, more relaxed plans, and no need to worry about the hottest hours of the day.

Nature to share

The surroundings of Benicàssim are perfect for enjoying with your pet.

Routes like the Greenway or the Desert de les Palmes offer accessible, safe trails full of new smells and open spaces for them to explore.

A hotel where your pet is truly welcome

At Hotel Bersoca, we don’t just allow pets — we welcome them.

We understand how important it is to travel together, which is why we make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. You’ll find a relaxed, friendly environment designed for families of all kinds — with or without paws. April is the perfect time for a different kind of getaway. No rush, no heat, no stress.

A walk, a terrace, a quiet day… and your dog by your side. Because travel is always better when no one is left behind.

April has something special. It’s that moment when summer hasn’t fully arrived yet… but you can already feel it coming. The days are longer, the sun is warmer, and Benicàssim slowly comes back to life.

If you’re thinking about a getaway, this is one of the best months to do it. Because Benicàssim in April means calm, space, and authenticity.

Beaches without rush (or crowds)

One of the greatest luxuries of traveling in April is the peace and quiet. The beaches of Benicàssim are just as beautiful, but without the summer crowds. You can walk along Heliópolis, relax by Torreón, or simply sit and listen to the sea. No noise, no stress. Just you and the Mediterranean.

Not the intense heat of summer, not the cold of winter. April is that perfect balance that makes everything easier. You can go out at any time of day, walk, cycle, or sit on a terrace without worrying about the heat. It’s the ideal moment to truly enjoy the destination.

Nature at its best

Spring transforms the surroundings. The Desert de les Palmes fills with color, the paths invite you to explore, and the air feels fresher. The Greenway is a must: a scenic route along the cliffs connecting Benicàssim and Oropesa, perfect for walking or cycling.

Traveling in April also means discovering the destination as it really is. Slower, more genuine, more local. It’s the perfect time to explore small shops, sit on a terrace without waiting, talk to locals, and enjoy a more authentic experience.

The perfect plan before summer

If you want to get a taste of summer without the stress of high season, April is your month.

At Hotel Bersoca, we’re already open and ready to welcome you with everything that defines us: closeness, calm, great food, and that feeling of being at home.

Easter marks the true beginning of spring. It is the first major getaway of the year, the moment when we feel the need to step outside, change our surroundings and reconnect. And if you are looking for sea views, tranquility and pleasant weather, Benicàssim at Easter is a safe choice.

This year, we reopen on April 1st, just in time for you to enjoy a different kind of break by the Mediterranean. But Easter here is not only about the beach. It is about tradition, emotion and culture. It is sea in the morning and heritage in the afternoon.

Beaches coming back to life

In spring, the beach feels different. There are no summer crowds, but there is light, comfortable temperatures and that atmosphere that invites you to walk without hurry.

You can stroll along Heliópolis, sit by Torreón, or enjoy the sunset at Voramar. And if the weather allows, you might even take your first swim of the year. The feeling is unique: more calm, more space, more authenticity.

Nature at its best

The Desert de les Palmes comes alive during this time of year. Trails are more pleasant, colors are brighter and the air feels fresher. You can also explore the Greenway that connects Benicàssim and Oropesa, perfect for walking or cycling along the cliffs.

Easter is ideal for combining rest with small active plans. A morning walk, a relaxed lunch and a cultural afternoon.

Tradition and emotion in Benicàssim and nearby towns

During these days, the province lives its traditions intensely. In Benicàssim, religious events and processions form part of the local identity, offering a more intimate view of the town.

Just a few minutes away, in Borriol, a live reenactment of the Passion of Christ transforms the old town into an open-air stage filled with symbolism and emotion. In Torreblanca, another Passion performance gathers locals and visitors in a truly special atmosphere.

And one of the most powerful events in the province is the “Rompida de la Hora” in l’Alcora, when hundreds of drums begin to play simultaneously in a deeply symbolic and moving act. A different kind of experience that shows Easter in Castellón is also about heritage and feeling.

A plan for everyone

At Hotel Bersoca, we are a family-friendly hotel in Benicàssim, perfect for traveling as a couple, with children or with your pet.

Here you will find tranquility, great homemade food and a friendly team ready to help you organize your days. We want you to disconnect, but also to discover. Because a complete getaway is one that combines relaxation with meaningful experiences.

The taste of spring

Our kitchen fills again with fresh ingredients and Mediterranean flavors. Slow breakfasts, balanced lunches and dinners that invite you to linger at the table.

Because a getaway is also remembered for how it tastes.

March is the month when everything begins to wake up. The days grow longer, the sun feels warmer, and the Mediterranean shines in a way that signals the new season is just around the corner. At Hotel Bersoca, we feel that excitement deeply — because we reopen our doors on April 1st.

And this year, we do so with very special news: we have completed the renovation of all our rooms. Although it may seem from the outside that the hotel rests during winter, behind the scenes we’ve been working for weeks — and months — to ensure everything is ready for your return.

Preparing with care (and visible improvements)

Before each season, we do more than clean and air out the rooms. We check installations, refresh shared spaces, prepare the pool area, review terraces, and fine-tune small details that may not always be visible… but can definitely be felt.

And this year, we’ve gone one step further.

We’ve fully renovated our rooms to make your rest even more comfortable, brighter, and more enjoyable. New textiles, updated furniture, and a fresher look — all while keeping the Mediterranean warmth and welcoming spirit that define us. Because we believe the difference lies in what enhances your experience from the very first moment you step into your room.

Rooms designed for better rest

This renovation isn’t just aesthetic. It’s a natural evolution.

We wanted more harmonious, functional, and inviting spaces. Rooms that encourage you to unwind after a day at the beach, a scenic walk, or an excursion. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with family, or with your pet, you’ll find a more carefully designed environment, prepared to adapt to your rhythm.

Thinking of those who return (and those who are about to discover us)

As we prepare everything, we think of you: the families who return every summer, the couples who chose Bersoca to disconnect, the dogs who confidently walk through our corridors…

We imagine the first breakfast of the season, the first “it feels so good to be here,” the first swim of the year… and now also, the first “the room looks beautiful.”

A new season, the same essence

We reopen with renovated rooms — yes. But what defines us remains unchanged:

→ A warm, family-oriented atmosphere.
→ Homemade cuisine with fresh ingredients.
→ Respect for people and the environment.

→ A pet friendly and LGTBIQ+ friendly space where everyone is welcome.

We’ve improved the outside, but we remain the same at heart.

Counting down to welcoming you back

We reopen on April 1st and can’t wait to see you again.

If you’re planning your next escape, now is the perfect time to book and start imagining your days by the sea… in a newly renovated room. Because every season begins with preparation, but what truly makes it special is you.

Travelling with family can be a beautiful experience… or a logistical nightmare. That’s why at Hotel Bersoca, we want to help make planning your next family holiday to Benicàssim simple, stress-free, and joyful. Here are some tips to help you stay ahead of the chaos and make sure the whole family — kids and adults alike — has a great time.

1. Choose a hotel designed with families in mind (hello there!)

This one’s easy: Hotel Bersoca is made for family travel. We offer:

-Spacious and practical rooms
-A pool with a kids’ area
-Summer entertainment for children
-Safe, quiet spaces
-And most importantly: a team that understands families

2. Plan ahead (but don’t overdo it)

Booking in advance means better room options, better rates, and schedules that work for you. But we also recommend leaving space for spontaneous moments — after all, the best holiday memories often come from unplanned adventures. Benicàssim is great for relaxing and having fun. From our hotel, you’ll have easy access to:

1.- Quiet beaches like Torreón or Almadraba
2.- Gentle routes like the Greenway
3.- Water activities at Aquarama or in nearby coves
4.- Cultural walks through the town

3. Count on us

From the moment you book, we’re here to help with ideas, tips, and practical support. Need a crib, a high chair, local paediatrician info or rainy-day activities? Just ask.

At Hotel Bersoca, families aren’t just welcome — they’re at home.

When you’re on holiday, time matters — but even more important is how you use it. At Hotel Bersoca, we understand that the final hours of your stay can be the most precious. That’s why we offer a late check-out service, so your last morning doesn’t have to feel rushed.

The art of taking it slow

No alarm clocks. No rushing to breakfast. One last walk by the sea. Time to pack calmly, shower, and enjoy those last moments. That’s how the final day of a holiday should feel. With our late check-out option, you can extend your stay until later in the afternoon, depending on availability. Just ask at reception — our team will do their best to help you enjoy every minute.

Why request a late check-out?

1.- Because your train or flight is in the afternoon and you don’t want to carry your luggage around.
2.- Because you’d like one last dip in the sea before heading home.
3.- Because you’re simply feeling great — and you’re not quite ready to leave.
4.- Because your kids want one more morning of fun.

You can ask for late check-out when booking, during check-in, or anytime during your stay. If we have availability, we’ll be happy to offer you that extra hour of peace and comfort that can make all the difference.

The new year often comes with big goals: eat healthier, exercise more, travel further. But what if, this 2026, we chose something simpler — and more achievable? Discovering what’s close to home. Walking paths we’ve never explored, finally trying that restaurant we keep hearing about, or spending a whole afternoon in a nearby town without checking the time.

At Hotel Bersoca, we suggest a different kind of resolution: rediscover the local with fresh eyes. See Benicàssim and its surroundings with curiosity.

Trails you may not know (yet)

We love recommending the Greenway and the Desert de les Palmes, but there are so many other routes worth exploring. Olive grove paths, quiet ravines, or short trails that end in lookouts you’ve never seen before.

This year, try a new route each month. Or repeat the same one in a different season. You’ll be amazed how much it changes.

Eat with all five senses

Another simple but powerful resolution: support local businesses. Around Benicàssim, there are small restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops and local stores full of flavor and love. Instead of always going to the same place, try something new nearby. Your next favorite dish might be just around the corner.

Wander without maps (or clocks)

Sometimes all you need is a walk through town without a destination. Step into a gallery, sit in a square, browse a market. Give yourself a morning with no plans. That’s what rediscovering the local is all about. Not all goals need to be dramatic changes. This year, try to see what’s already around you. And when we reopen the doors at Hotel Bersoca, we’ll be here — ready to help you keep the resolutions that truly matter: the ones that bring joy.

January brings that special mix of pause and renewal. After the festive rush, we feel like breathing deeply, organizing our thoughts, and easing into the new year slowly. Although our hotel is closed during this time, Benicàssim still offers the perfect surroundings to start the year on the right foot: seaside strolls, gentle forest trails, and the warm Mediterranean winter light.

Quiet walks by the sea

Benicàssim’s beaches in January are nearly empty — and that’s exactly what makes them so beautiful. The sea remains at the center, the light is softer, and walks feel more intentional. Stroll along Heliópolis or Torreón beach at sunrise or enjoy the calm of a fiery sunset.

Reconnect with your body (and your thoughts)

Sometimes, all we need to reset is to move. January is the perfect month for that. Even though the hotel is closed, the Greenway and nearby mountain paths are open and waiting. These easy, scenic routes are ideal for stretching your legs and clearing your head.

The hotel… as a mindset

Hotel Bersoca may be hibernating, but its philosophy stays with you — a calm rhythm, care in the small things, and the joy of slow moments. Starting the year well also means remembering that you can take care of yourself with just the basics: a good walk, a thoughtful meal, and unhurried conversation. That’s the feeling we offer when you stay with us — and it’s one you can carry with you anywhere.

You can come and visit Benicàssim now, and repeat with us on summer!

The season has come to an end, and it’s time to close the doors — but first, we want to open our hearts. At Hotel Bersoca, we just want to say thank you. Thank you for every smile, every kind word, every shared moment. This summer has been filled with emotions, and before we start thinking about the next one, we want to pause and celebrate everything we’ve lived.

Moments we’ll never forget
This year, we welcomed over 50 dogs, served around 3,500 toasts at breakfast, and heard the phrase “it’s so nice here” more than 1,200 times. And each time, it made us smile.
There was the couple who celebrated their anniversary on our terrace, the family who came for three nights and stayed for seven, and the child who cried when they had to leave — and maybe the parents too.

Summer lessons we carry with us
You’ve reminded us that it’s not about how much you do, but how you live it. A nap on the terrace, a shared breakfast, or a sunset conversation are just as valuable as any excursion.
You’ve taught us to value the simple things, the authentic ones — and that’s exactly what we want to keep offering.

More than guests — a community
Thank you for recommending us, for tagging us in your photos, for your kind reviews and for coming back year after year.
We close the season with full hearts and already looking forward to the next. Hotel Bersoca is much more than a place to sleep — and that’s thanks to you.

Taking a break from the everyday can be easier than you think, and sometimes the best nature experiences are just around the corner. Near Hotel Bersoca, you’ll find stunning natural spots where you can enjoy peaceful walks, fresh air and breathtaking views — no hiking expertise required.

Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with a group of friends, or bringing your pet along, these hiking trails in Benicàssim are perfect for relaxing and reconnecting with the landscape. Here are four you can explore during your stay with us.

1. Vía Verde del Mar

This is the most famous trail in the area, and with good reason. It follows an old railway route between Benicàssim and Oropesa del Mar, running alongside the Mediterranean with impressive views of cliffs, tunnels and hidden coves.

  • Distance: around 6 km one way
  • Difficulty: very easy
  • Perfect for: cycling, walking or going with kids

You can walk to the starting point directly from the hotel. It’s a great option for the morning, and once you’re back, you can cool off with a swim at the beach.

2. Bartolo Trail (Easy Section)

The Bartolo summit is the highest point in the Desert de les Palmes, but you don’t have to reach the top to enjoy its surroundings. There are milder routes, like the one that starts at the Sant Joan viewpoint, which takes you through pine forests and natural lookouts.

  • Distance: varies depending on the chosen section
  • Difficulty: low to moderate on the easy stretch
  • Perfect for: anyone wanting a bit more movement without too much effort

3. Walk through La Renegà Natural Area

This is not a mountain trail, but it is one of the most visually rewarding. Starting near the Vía Verde, it winds along rocky coves, Mediterranean pines and hidden corners where nature feels untouched. It’s a short but very sensory experience.

  • Distance: 2 to 3 km
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Perfect for: couples looking for romantic spots or families wanting to explore without getting too tired

4. Agujas de Santa Águeda Route

Starting from the Desierto de las Palmas, the trail climbs through rocky terrain until reaching the striking formations known as the Agujas de Santa Águeda. The scenery is wild, the panoramic views are breathtaking, and the experience connects you with the most rugged and authentic side of Benicàssim.

  • Distance: 6 km (circular).
  • Difficulty: moderate.
  • Ideal for: hikers with good physical condition looking for a short but intense route, unforgettable views, and a true sense of achievement.

Planning your walk

At Hotel Bersoca, we’re happy to help you make the most of your day outdoors. We can provide trail maps, app suggestions for navigation, tips for picnic spots and even advice on where to eat after your hike. We believe spending time in nature is an essential part of a complete and memorable holiday in Castellón.
